ScrewdriverHe'd done it. He'd perfected the sonic screwdriver. It now had the thought-mail circuit that would allow him to upload River to the computer at the Library.Screwdriver by Betawhofic
He stared down at the screwdriver on his workbench like it was the foulest thing in creation. He'd incorporated every failsafe, every signal booster, and every enhancement he could think of into it.
It had a fingerguard, dampeners, and red settings. It had functions even his own sonic didn't have. Every possible function he could think of that might help keep her safe. Who knew how long it would be between the Towers and the Library for her. And she was even more prone to falling into dangerous situations than he was.
He hated it. He wanted to break it, and smash it, and put it in the particle converter and reduce it to its component atoms!
But he had to give it to her. He didn't dare wait any longer, life was too uncertain, and if he were to get himself killed before he gave her the sonic there'd be no saving her at all. He still
The StormcageRiver's life in the Stormcage was boring, but there were a few things to liven it up...The Stormcage by Betawhofic
It wasn't so bad, the Stormcage. The food was lousy, and the weather never let up. But the guards were polite, once they learned. And the security was nicely predictable. She'd gone through 14 Wardens since she first came here. The first three were determined to keep her inside at all costs.
Some costs were too high. (And some secrets should never be made public.)
The neighbors were rowdy, but very diverse and she'd picked up quite a few handy tips over the years. Not to mention a few very nasty fighting moves.
But mostly people left her alone. She could read and study in peace, they knew not to stop her phone calls or mail. (After the first time she missed a rendezvous with the Doctor there had been some nasty repercussions. The Doctor had helped with that one. Subsequent Wardens and communications specialists learned not to tamper with her mail. And they never found the taps in the system.)
Hey, guys! I'm Olivia X) I adore art. Love it, live it, every moment of every day. I always have a sketchbook on me, and fill it with anything from song lyrics to pictures of my friends/ family. I'm a Sophmore (Whoopee!) and my friends are the center of my universe. I like acting crazy and weird and spazzical. My favorite thing in the world is making people laugh (whether it's with me, or at me ;D). I love school (What can I say, I'm a nerd XD), and I love my dad and sister more than...anything, really. I love Drama and Drama club, and if I was funny or had any ounce of talent whatsoever, I might even consider being an actress! (maybe on Doctor Who? Wishful thinking <3) ANYWHO. |
I love cooking, too. My favorite foods are egg rolls and rice. And I love hot tea more than anything on this planet next to egg rolls and rice and Mountain Dew and Doctor Who <3 <3 And my family and friends, of course...not specifically in that order XD Anyway, please take a look through my gallery and lemme know what you think! (even though I doubt less than half of you read more than the first sentence, let alone all the way to this part XD) Thanks a ton (:

Personal Quote: "We are only asked to love, to offer hope to the many hopeless. We don't get to choose all the endings, but we are asked to play the rescuers. We won't solve all mysteries and our hearts will certainly break in such a vulnerable life, but it is the best way. We were made to be lovers bold in broken places, pouring ourselves out again and again until we're called home. "- To Write Love On Her Arms.
"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... time-y wimey... stuff. " -Tenth Doctor.
